What’s up fam? How are we doing? Hangin in there? I’ve been thanking God that the weather has been so beautiful lately. Being able to go outside for a walk or just sit on my deck and watch the world has been doing wonders for my sanity. It sucks that I can’t go out and do all the fun spring and summer-y things, but it’s looking like some parts of New York are going to be opening up on May 15th, so fingers crossed that we can get back out there at least a little!

Today, my parents and I went for a drive around Long Island, which has been our Sunday routine during quarantine. I decided to wear this comfy, springy outfit even though no one really saw me. I honestly could’ve stayed in my pajamas. But it’s nice to be a person sometimes! A crop top and leggings can do wonders for the soul.

five graphic tees i'll actually wear

StyleKristenComment

This Hey Arnold shirt is one of my favorite tees in the world. It’s a really fun, nostalgic pattern.

So here’s a little-known fact about me: I hate graphic tees. I bet it would be sort of a shock to my younger self, who lived in the tee section at dELiA*s (my personal favorite is still the bright pink double-music-note heart shirt). In general, I tend to stick with basics that I can mix and match. I love a good pattern, but I can’t stand the stupid sayings that companies are slapping on these shirts. I saw one the other day at Zara that literally said “This is a Graphic Tee” and I almost vomited.

But every now and then, I come across something I absolutely love. Here’s a list of graphic tees that are my vibe:

Art Tee from Dazey LA, $52

photo from @dazey_la on instagram

I’ve been obsessed with Dazey LA since I started following them on Instagram a couple months back. Dani Nagel, a graphic designer, started her line to empower women through graphics that “stand for something.” Every shirt is beautiful, but this Art Tee is my absolute favorite. I love the whimsical, artsy vibe with a message that everyone should hear.

GOODIE TWO SLEEVES N’Sync Boyfriend Women’s Tee from Tilly’s, $23

Fun fact, I once crashed my car while listening to *NSYNC’s “No Strings Attached,” but that’s not why I like this shirt. I’m definitely one to wear a good band tee, especially if it’s simple and a band that I actually know and love to listen to. Bonus points if it’s vintage. Does the 90s count as vintage yet? Gross.

HUF x Betty Boop Livewire Pink Long Sleeve T-Shirt from Zumiez, $38

If you put Betty Boop on anything, I will buy it. If you release an entire collection with Betty Boop graphics, I’ll worship your brand forever. HUF does collaborations with cartoons so wonderfully, I forget they’re even graphic tees. I also love tees with a small graphic on the front and a bigger one on the back, like this one from Halsey. So this one gets an A+ from me.

Aloha From Hell White Tee from Broken Promises, $29

Broken Promises is another brand I’ve been Insta-obsessed with. I genuinely get excited when they pop up on my timeline, which is rare for me, as I’ve established many times in this article that I don’t enjoy graphic tees. But Broken Promises designs edgy clothes that make me feel understood. I sound so emo.

You’re Too Old Tee from Sugarhigh Lovestoned, $58

The worst part of graphic tees are the weird messages that are always printed on them. My personal favorites include “Allergic to Drama,” “Not an Influencer,” and “Careful with My Heart.” The only time I’ll wear one is when I wholeheartedly love the message, like this one! My dad taught me this from a very young age, so it’s super special to me.

top (clunkster original hehe). shorts (similar). sneakers. purse. sunglasses (use my code CLUNKSTER25 for 25% off your order!). perfume.

Hey cuties! I’m so excited to share this look with you all. While my mom and I were cleaning out my house, I found this top that I used to wear as a sleep shirt when I was little. It used to be massive on me, but as soon as I pulled it out of its bin, I knew it would look adorable as a crop top.

I brought it back to Boston with me and took some scissors to it, and I’m so proud of the result! I took some others back with me so I can do the same. I love getting creative and crafty :’)

High-waisted bottoms really complement how I cut the top, so I wore my black shorts and black Converse to match. I finished everything off with some 90s half-up-half-down pigtails.

What’s your favorite Spice Girls song? Let me know in the comments!

happy father's day!

Outfit of the DayKristenComment

flannel (i have no clue i'm so sorry). shirt. leggings (similar). sneakers

Happy Father’s Day! I love holidays that celebrate my parents because they’re literal royalty and deserve to be treated as such. This is a harder Father’s Day because it’s the first one without my grandpa and the second without my uncle, but I know they’re always with us! I spent the whole weekend with my dad doing the things we love, and I couldn't ask for anything more.

I’m so so so thankful for my dad and everything he’s taught me. I’m also thankful for him giving me so many flannels! So, I decided to commemorate this lovely day by wearing one of my favorites. This flannel is suuuuuper soft and comfy, and just a little different from all the others I have, which is nice.

The rest of my look is super simple; just a wrinkly white tee, my cropped leggings, and white Converse. I was really comfy (as I always am in this flannel), and when I’m comfy I’m happy! I topped everything off with INDI, of course.

Make sure to give the men in your life an extra big hug today! And if some of your men are in another place like some of mine, try your best to carry on their legacy today (and every day). xoxo

sorority saturday

KristenComment

shirt (i don't know which shop, i'm sorry!) leggings. sneakers. perfume.

Hey hey! It’s finally the weekend! Today my dad came to visit me and we saw Solo together! It was awesome; definitely make sure you see it if you’re a Star Wars fan. I have another sorority ~Saturday~ look for you all today, and this one’s also pretty simple. My looks have been relatively simple lately.

For this look, I just paired my high-waisted leggings with this shirt my sorority bought in bulk. I’m not a huge fan of Kanye West, but I do love the design! The color is really unique. There are so many ways I wanna style this shirt.

I wore some white Converse, which I thought looked super cute since it matched the letters on the shirt and kept things casual and cute. They’re soooo dirty, I definitely need to wash them soon.

Like I said though, this look is super simple, but I still wanted to share it because I love sharing everything with you guys, and I love any excuse to talk about my sorority. Have a great weekend!
