The Clunkster

Typical Clunky

Shirt (no longer being sold at dELiA*s). Skirt (different color). Stockings. Sunglasses (similar). Sweater (no longer being sold at The Gap). Boots (no longer being sold at Primark).

Today’s looks is typical Clunkster. I really love it! First, I started with my denim skirt, since it was kind of chilly out, but not terribly. Then, I added my long-sleeved black shirt, which I haven’t worn with my skirt before. I really loved the way it looked, and I threw on my grey sweater.
As I was making my tea for the morning though, (fun fact I just learned that I’m obsessed with tea oops) I felt like something was missing. I put on stockings and boots, and to be honest, I wasn’t feeling myself too much.

Then, I realized that my skirt wasn’t cooperating with me. I think since I’ve been at school, I’ve lost some weight, and my skirt doesn’t sit perkily on my waist anymore. I did my little bobby pin trick, and all was right with the world.

Unfortunately, my bobby pins didn’t stay up forever, but at that point, I really didn’t care. I ended up severely ripping my stockings later, but it looked really cool. I kept my jewelry and makeup normal, but since I finally washed my hair, that was a little messy, but I think it went with the look. Overall, this is Clunky af, also a beautiful flatlay, so I’m a happy camper.

Vest. Shirt (similar). Jeans. Boots (no longer being sold at Primark). Sunglasses (similar).

You guys, once the puffer vest comes out, you know it’s officially fall. It’s the classic long-sleeved shirt, puffer vest, jeans, and boots. The outfit is kind of a cliche for a reason. It’s the perfect transition outfit. It’s getting a little more chilly, so people wear longer sleeves. Since you want more protection around your chest, you pick a cute vest that usually has really big pockets. Jeans and boots are just staples of fall.

In my little Clunkster version of this classic outfit, I wore a super tight shirt, MIchael Kors vest, classic skinny jeans, and my workboots. Since my hair was gross, I threw it up in my half-up-half-down, and I kept jewelry and makeup normal.

There’s not much to say about this. It’s relatively “basic,” but I feel cute and that’s what matters.

Sweatshirt (I think Target maybe?). Jeans. Boots (no longer being told at Primark). Jacket (similar). Hat. Sunglasses (similar).

So, I guess this is a little bit of a Sorority Sunday. This morning, I participated with my sorority in the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk in Boston! I love participating in this walk because fighting breast cancer is extremely important to me, since my grandma died of it before I was born.

Obviously, I wanted to show my support for fighters through my outfit. I started with my black jeans, which were heavy, but I still wore stockings underneath since it was pretty chilly today and we were walking by the water. I wore a tank top, that I tucked into my jeans, and a Support the Cure sweatshirt that’s a little short on me, but it looks cute. I finished it off with my varsity jacket, which was nice and warm!

At first, I had my hair in my half-up-half-down look. However, when I put my beanie on to cover my ears and represent my ~school pride~, there was a weird bump on top of my head from my ponytail holder. I looked like a triceratops. So, I took my greasy hair down and hid it with my beanie. I completed my look with bright pink lipstick and my boots!

Dress. Kimono. Boots (no longer being sold at Primark). Sunglasses (similar). Stockings.

Today, I wore something that equal parts sexy and innocent. Everyone knows that I love my little black dress, but now that it’s getting a little colder, I don’t just want to wear my dress. So, I wore it with my favorite kimono that I love more than anything but don’t wear enough. I also wore my stockings and workboots! I was trying to figure out what to put on my feet for a while, but after I put on my boots I was set.

So far, the look is relatively sexy, but I feel like the half-up-half-down style that I have adopted as my own made it a little more innocent. I added the choker, which is kinda sexy, but since it reminds me of the 90s, I think it’s a little more innocent, especially with my hair the way it is.

My makeup was normal, as well as my jewelry. I layered my choker with my short elephant necklace. I really loved this look, and I would definitely wear it to parties in the future.

Sweater and Boots (no longer being sold at Primark). Jeans. Headband. Sunglasses (similar).

Another sweater! It really is sweater weather! Today, I wore one of my favorite sweaters that I bought at Primark last year. Fun fact, it’s men’s! It’s so comfortable and soooooo warm. I wore it with my blue jeans and work boots, which are also from Primark. I’m pretty sure I bought this sweater and these shoes at the same time.

For some reason, I really like the way this headband looks with this sweater. I think I just did it one day last year and really liked it, and it just stuck. I think this is more of a retro look, for reasons I don’t quite understand. It just kinda gives off that vibe.

My hair was technically straight, but it’s starting to get dirty and frizzy, which you can’t really tell with the headband. I love headbands, and hate washing my hair, so that works out well. My jewelry was also normal, except I didn’t wear a necklace again since again, you can’t even tell if I’m wearing one. My makeup is normal as well. Lately, it’s been a little lighter since I’m running out of foundation. I like it! I like this. I felt very good today.
