Sorority Sunday!

Shirt (Gamma exclusive bbs). Shorts. Bralette. Converse. Sunglasses

It's Sorority Sunday! Today, I wore my beautiful Xi Gamma Nu Recruitment shirt from last semester. I'm so in love with it because it's super unique, just like us! I wore it with my bralette, and tucked it into my jean shorts. I topped it off with my black Converse.

I ditched the makeup for today (which I've been doing a lot lately) and threw my disgusting dirty hair into Dutch/French braids that I think look really cute with this shirt. I'm so excited to get back to school and be back with my lovely Gamma ladies!

She's Baaaaaaack...

Hey beauties, I'm back!

Did you miss me? I hope so, because I've really missed clunking around the fashion sector of the Internet. I've taken a couple breaks before, usually because running a fashion blog while going to college is difficult! But this time is different.

I've had quite the summer. In June, my uncle suddenly passed away. We were extremely close, and this came as a shock to my entire family. After picking up the pieces and getting almost back to normal, my grandfather suddenly passed away exactly a month later. At his wake, my grandmother fell and shattered her femur. She'll be in a rehabilitation facility for the next three months.

Basically, this summer has been a blur of working, running to my grandmother's, cleaning out her house, cleaning out my uncle's apartment, and trying to settle all of their legal and financial issues. So, The Clunkster fell to the back burner, which sucks. But I honestly don't regret it. I needed to be there for my family.

But now, it's time to take tiny steps to getting back to normal. There are so many things I want to do and achieve with this blog! So while my posts may not always be consistent, I'll be trying my best to at least continue to be a thing.

In the meantime, hug your family members, and if you smoke cigarettes, please stop.

xoxo,

Summertime Sadness

Tank (no longer being sold at Urban Outfitters). Shorts. Bralette. Sneakers. Sweater (no longer being sold at The Gap). Sunglasses.

It's that time of year, I'm ready to head back to school and get back to my normal life. This summer has been especially frustrating because I have a bunch of shitty family stuff happening. I expressed this look with my blue-hued crop top and blue jean shorts. I'm still so in love with this top. And that's that.

When Will Halsey Marry Me

Tank (no longer being sold through Halsey's store). Shorts. Bralette. Sneakers. Lipgloss (in Sanctuary). Sunglasses.

Today, I went with a relatively simple look to run some errands. I love this Badlands tank I got from Halsey's concert a year ago! I paired it with my new denim shorts, which is kinda different because I usually go all black with it, but I like it! I was between black and white Converse and went with black because my mom said they looked better (what a babe), but either choice looked good.

My hair and makeup were slightly different than usual. I left my hair in a wet messy bun for the past day, so my hair came out super curly. I also put on my new Kat Von D lipgloss that I'm obsessed with, but forwent(?) the rest of my makeup. I'm used to doing a full face of makeup with a lip color, so this was definitely different, but I liked it! For some reason, my eyebrows appear darker when I don't wear makeup, and I liked the way that looked with my lipgloss.

Cruelty-Free Beauty: Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

The other day, I went to Sephora with one of my beauty-obsessed sorority sisters and came across Kat Von D Beauty. I've been hearing a ton of great things about Kat Von D lately, so I decided to try out one of her lip colors since my lipgloss had worn off. I picked a dark tan color called Sanctuary, and as soon as I tested it, my sister started freaking out. "HOLY SHIT! YOU HAVE TO GET IT!"

I've been looking for a deep tan lip color for a while, and this one was absolutely perfect. It really was my shade. I'm in love! I wasn't planning on buying anything at Sephora, but I had to buy this. And it wasn't super expensive, just $20.

One of my least favorite things about matte lip colors is putting them on, because it can get ridiculously messy. This lipgloss went on like a dream. I was able to layer it and reapply without it looking or feeling gross. I will admit that it did feel a little sticky, but not enough that I was grossed out. In fact, I think the slight stickiness contributes to the fact that this lipgloss stayed on so well for a really long time.

And the best part is, it's cruelty-free! I really admire Kat Von D for her firm stance on animal rights. Her line further proves that amazing beauty products can be made without harming animals.

I'm so excited to wear this lipgloss again, especially in the Fall! I'm so happy that I treated myself with this lip color. I'd 100% buy more of Kat Von D's products in the future!
