Crappy Day, Cute Outfit

Top (from Pacsun by Brandy Melville, but I can't find the exact style online). Shorts. Sneakers. Sunglasses (similar). Lipstick.

Today was one of the worst days I’ve had in a long time. As always, I didn’t feel any better until I actually got dressed and ready. After work, I decided to go shopping to cheer myself up. I walked out with this shirt, amongst other things! It’s really lightweight and comfy. I love how it looks on me! You guys will definitely be seeing a lot of it this summer. I need to start shopping at Pacsun more.

I paired it with my light blue high-waisted shorts that are still falling apart. I tucked my shirt in; what a surprise! Seriously, it made the look ten times better. I went with my black Converse to match the dark colors in my shirt and kept my jewelry normal. I should get one of those 90s chokers, which would have really pulled this look together.

Since I went out to eat in a freezing restaurant, I wore my grey sweater that I’ve been posting a lot about lately. It went with the vibe of my outfit while keeping me warm and cozy!

y vamp lips also made a comeback! Lipstick is one thing that can cheer me up almost any time I’m sad, and my favorite shade perfectly matched this aesthetic. It made me feel really badass. I felt like I could take over the world even though I just wanted to lay in bed and watch Grey’s Anatomy.

Since I let my hair air-dry and didn’t straighten it, it still has its natural wave that I like every now and then. I think straightening my hair with this look would actually be a little too put together. The beauty of this was that it was slightly chaotic, but in a mysterious way. It’s one of my favorite vibes.

Even on bad days like this though, I still remember to cherish what I have. Life moves at a very rapid pace, which is super scary. Everything can change in an instant. It’s not to say that you should just be happy all the time because things should be worse, but it’s important to remember the little things in life. You never know when they’ll be gone.

Vest. Sunglasses (similar). Shirt. Boots (no longer being sold at Primark. Leggings.

I really love my look today! You all know that I put lots of thought into my outfits, so you probably won’t be surprised once I explain my reasoning behind this one. I had to go to the dentist this morning (my teeth are perfect! Yay for dental care!), but I had to go to work right after. Since my work uniform is a white T shirt and black slacks, I figured I’d wear a white T shirt today to save less time changing later.

Next, I threw on some leggings (that I’m not allowed to wear to work, sadly) so I would be comfy and my boots because I feel like I haven’t worn them in a while. I also haven’t worn my military vest in a while, so I threw that on too! I love, love, love the way it all looks. I was a little skeptical about wearing this vest with sleeves because I haven’t yet, but I actually really loved it. I’d like to try it with long sleeves soon.

I also really loved the way my hair looked today. I brushed through my slept-in curls, and this happened! I sprayed them a little and dry-shampooed the top. I would definitely wear curls like this again! I kept my jewelry simple (I wore my dogtag necklace to keep the military look) and wore my rounded glasses since they look amazing with this vest.

This is definitely something that I would wear again in the near future! It’s perfect for the spring/summer because it keeps you warm in air-conditioned areas, but you don’t sweat outside.

I love clothes.

Opposite Day

Shirt (I have no clue where I bought this I’m sorry). Bandeau. Skirt (no longer being sold at Mystique Boutique NYC). Tights. Shoes (similar).

I’ve been saying a lot lately that I’ve been wanting to take more risks. So today, I went into my closet and picked out a bunch of things that I didn’t think would look good together. I mixed and matched until I found something that actually looked good, and this won!

I started with this skirt, which is one of my favorites that I very rarely wear. It’s high-waisted and very flowy. It’s super cute and comfortable! Usually, I wear this with a hot pink long-sleeved crop top, but I wanted to see what else it could go with. After going through a bunch of things, I picked this shirt that I haven’t worn in a while. It’s all lace, which is super cute! I wore a black bandeau underneath since the theme of this look was mostly black. I tucked the shirt in because when do I ever leave things untucked? But for real, it looked really weird untucked. I also wore nude tights and my cheer spanx because I never wear a dress/skirt without them!

Another risk I took was wearing these adorable heels. I originally bought them for my Sweet Sixteen, but I couldn’t wear them because I hurt my knees (to this day sometimes I can’t wear heels; it just really depends on the day and how they’re feeling). I wore them to my Junior Prom though! I wear them very occasionally since they’re really high so they’re sometimes difficult to walk in, but how can you not love these? They’re so hot! And sparkly! They’re like the dream.

And another risk: my hair. I love how curls look on me, but for some reason I can never do them on myself. I saw a tutorial video on Twitter that showed how to curl thick hair well. You put your hair in

two ponytails in the back of your head and curl them, then take them out and comb through. I really loved it! I’ll definitely be doing it more.

I also messed around with my makeup a bit. I did that eyeshadow thing I learned, except with a nude eyeshadow (like I usually do) and a metallic silver. I really liked it also! I think I did a great job blending so I’m proud of myself. I also went with my pale pink lipstick, which is a little sheer. I liked the way it looked also! I was going to go with my dark ~vampy~ lipstick, but since I was playing the opposite game today, I went with pink! I always forget I have this lipstick. I should totally wear it more. I kept jewelry normal.

I’m not sure if I would actually wear this look to a party, but I definitely like it and would definitely mess around with this little experiment in the future.

Chillwear

KristenComment

My looks every day are usually well thought out and put together. I think I’ve only posted one or two on here that were things I just kind of threw on. I put a lot of thought into a lot of what I wear, including my chillwear (I think I just invented that term) and pajamas. So, I thought it would be cool to post one of those looks.

You guys know that I’m a big fan of wearing boys clothes! I got these Vegas boxers for Christmas and they’re super comfortable. They’re also great to wear with leggings because they don’t leave panty lines, which is always a plus. I really want this other pair that has a picture of a banana that looks like it’s hanging out of the penis-hole thing. These boxers are awesome to wear to bed, but also just to hang out in. I’m trying to find a way to wear these in public. Hmmm…

And how can you go wrong with a basic white T-shirt? I think it looks cool with these boxers since there’s so much going on down there. Obviously, I’m not wearing jewelry or makeup since I’m about to go to bed. My hair looks kind of good because I straightened it.

I threw my best bunny friend (BBF) into this picture because it looked really freakin’ cute, and no PJ look is complete without your stuffed companion! I’ve been sleeping with this little booger (almost) every night since I was five.

Sometimes, I really do just throw on whatever I want, but every now and then I put something on and think “Aw, that’s a good look!” This was one of those things, and now that I have this blog, I decided to share it with all of you. I bet a fashion blogger has never done that. But hey, am I even a typical fashion blogger?

Raspberry Picking!

Shirt (no longer being sold by Candie’s). Jeans. Boots (no clue). Bandeau. Sunglasses (mine are a bit lighter).

Another day, another pair of new Charlotte Russe jeans! My family and I went raspberry picking today. It was hot, but I needed to wear pants since I was so afraid of being bitten by ticks and shoes that I didn’t mind getting dirty just in case it was muddy (spoiler alert: it wasn’t muddy and I could’ve worn whatever shoes I wanted but whatever).

Since I needed a light shirt, I picked out this lightweight, sheer one that I haven’t worn in a while. The buttons are kind of falling off, but I like it! I tucked this one into my pants too. What a surprise! I also wore a black bandeau underneath instead of a bra.

I went with black jeans and my mom’s dark brown boots. I wanted to wear mine, but like I said, I didn’t want to get them muddy. My mom gave me these, which were actually really comfortable and they looked kind of okay with the rest of my outfit. I’m not sure if I would wear them again, but they did the job. I matched my sunglasses to them.

My hair was a little bit messier since it’s starting to become un-straight, and I kept my makeup very simple, though when I looked in a mirror later I realized that I didn’t blend one side of my face so it

Can someone give me selfie lessons please?

looked all cakey and orange. I guess I need to be mindful of how much makeup I’ve been putting on! I also kept my jewelry very basic.

This look was very simple, so there’s not much to say, but if you ever get the chance to go raspberry picking, I would totally go! It’s a different experience, and raspberries are yummy.
