In case you haven't read The Clunkster before, I'm a part of a sorority that I helped found, Xi Gamma Nu! It's super important to me because we've built it from the ground up. Our official Founder's Day was last week, which means that we just turned a year old! It's crazy to think about how this was just a tiny idea just a year ago and now we have over fifty sisters. It's honestly insane.

So, I decided to post a little ~Founder's Day Friday~, a throwback to our first Recruitment week! I absolutely loved the shirts we got because they were unique from other sororities'. They were perfect to dress up, but also perfect to keep casual. On this particular day, I wanted to stay comfy and cute.

I can't believe how much has changed in the last couple years! I'm so happy that I have a sorority that I can call home :)

In my last post, I talked about how Revelry is perfect because you can wear their pieces anywhere: at classy events or just when you go to the supermarket and wanna look cute! In this case, I wore my Revelry Quinn dress with just a Dad Hat... a literal Dad Hat. I haven't worn it in forever! I missed it so much.

I paired my dress with my white Converse to keep it chill, and my rounded sunglasses because they look adorable. I feel like this is the perfect thing to wear on vacation or over the summer, which I've been thinking about so much lately since it's super cold in Boston.

I can't wait to show you guys the rest of my Revelry pieces!

Kiss My Face Lotion!

Beauty, Beauty Review, Cruelty-Free, SponsoredKristenComment

Okay guys, you know how much I love Kiss My Face. I'm so psyched to be reviewing another one of their products! As a refresher, or for people who haven't read my Kiss My Face reviews before, Kiss My Face is an amazing company that's cruelty-free and uses the best ingredients ever, basically. All of their products are artificial fragrance free, paraben free, and phthalate free.

They just released these 32oz. lotions and I'm literally obsessed! I got the Tropical Coconut scent, which smells amazing and soooo accurate! It makes its presence known without being overpowering, which I love. As far as effectiveness, it's really been helping my dry skin throughout this rough winter. My hands were cracking and it was disgusting, I felt scaly. I put this lotion on basically whenever I remember to, and it honestly just makes my skin feel better. It's therapeutic, and I love the texture, which is a big thing for me and lotions. After putting this lotion on every day, my hands are almost completely soft again. I just leave it on my bedside table and use it whenever I want to.

I feel like Kiss My Face is a really good reminder that cruelty-free products are still quality products! They're the best quality products! It's possible to make great products that'll work great for consumers without throwing in a bunch of random chemicals and hurting innocent animals!

Also, as a bonus, Kiss My Face gave me a code that you guys can use online to buy your own 32oz. Body Lotion until this Friday! It's 32OZKISS

Guess Who Learned How to Blend Her Face?!

Beauty, Beauty Review, Cruelty-FreeKristenComment

I’ve never been good at blending my makeup. There always seems to be harsh lines on my face or masses of caked-up foundation; I’m having more trouble blending under my eyes and around my lips. I noticed it more when I started using makeup brushes, since I used to use makeup sponges, one that was shaped like a BeautyBlender, but not the real thing. I had seen BeautyBlenders around, but I had never bought one because I didn’t feel the need for one at the time. So, I took a trip to Sephora with my Christmas gift cards and finally bought one for myself!

What I’m Using Now: BeautyBlender Pro (in Black)

This tiny thing has honestly made such a difference for me! I had never seen how one would use a BeautyBlender, but my friend’s sister taught me that you basically run the BeautyBlender under water (which I never knew had to be done) then just dab your face, and smooth it over with your fingers a bit. My makeup looks ten times more natural now. I honestly think it stays on way better too. I started using it along my hairline and my jaw too, since I usually have blending problems in those areas too.

One of my sorority sisters told me the other day that she never wets her BeautyBlender, which I thought was so weird, but the other day I had to do my makeup on a plane (~classy~ right?) and I wasn’t able to wet it. I don’t think it made much of a difference (honestly I couldn’t tell since I sweat it all off in California anyway), but it defiinitely felt weird!

Small sidenote, but I love that this comes in black! I think I’ve only ever seen them in crazy colors like hot pink and blue, but I love that I was able to get one not only in my favorite color, but one that matches the rest of my makeup brushes. I don’t know, it made a legit difference for me. I don’t mean to hate on those bright colors, but black is just classier in general, you know? Anyway, I absolutely loved this BeautyBlender! I’m so happy I finally have a solution to my blending problem!
