This is an older look that I've been meaning to post for a while. It doesn't really give off the springy vibe that we should be feeling in April, but it's still cute! I wore this outfit on a lazy Sunday, and I think it's the perfect off-duty-but-not-giving-up look, if that makes sense. Everything I wore was super comfortable, and it made me look put-together enough that I could go outside and people wouldn't judge me. I'm happy that my basic bitch vest can make another appearance!
More Cruelty-Free Mascara
Beauty, Beauty Review, Cruelty-FreeCommentYou all know how much I love my mascara, especially when it's cruelty-free! A while ago, I switched out my old mascara for another one of e.l.f.'s mascaras, and I absolutely loved it. So when someone posted an unopened bottle of this e.l.f. mascara on my school's Free and For Sale page, I had to jump on it.
What I'm Using Now: e.l.f. Lash Extending Mascara
At first, I used this mascara by itself to see what it would do. Basically, the brush of this mascara is much thinner and has a lot of spikes. It's basically made to separate your lashes finely, which is great since I hate it when my eyelashes get super clumpy. Also, the brush can move and bend like the other mascara's, which really makes a difference for me.
Though I do wear this mascara on its own every now and then, I do prefer my e.l.f. 3-in-1 Mascara, mostly because the brush has so many shapes that it can really get everywhere it needs. I do like wearing this mascara on its own when I want a more feminine look, but most of the time I use it to top off the mascara that I already have. Like I mentioned before, the brush is super fine, so it helps me separate my lashes when they get gross and stuck. Usually, I use it to top off my eyelashes and give them that extra spidery kick.
Overall, I would 100% recommend this mascara, as I do with basically everything I review with e.l.f. For more information about going cruelty-free, check out PETA’s Searchable Database or Cruelty-Free Kitty’s alphabetized list of cruelty-free brands.
Sorority Sunday
CommentShirt (Gamma exclusive bbs). Flannel (no longer being sold at Eddie Bauer). Bralette. Skirt (different color). Boots (no longer being sold at Primark).
I love my sorority because it's super unique. I posted some looks from last semester's Recruitment, and I talked about how I loved how I could wear the shirt in so many different ways. I feel like the shirts we chose really let us showcase our individuality even though we were relatively uniform. For most of Recruitment, I wore this outfit!
When I first got my shirt, I immediately thought about pairing it with my denim skirt, but I was afraid it would look too 80s. It turned out it looked perfect! I added the flannel because I was a bit chilly, and it turned out to look amazing. This look really came together. I'm so happy I'm in a sorority that lets me express my individuality!
Team Bralette
CommentBralette. Sweater (no longer being sold at the Gap). Leggings. Boots (no longer being sold at Call It Spring).
Every now and then, I'm in the middle of changing my clothes, and I look in the mirror and realize that even though I'd never thought of creating this look in the first place, it's actually an adorable outfit. This happened while I was hanging my clothes a while ago and stumbled upon this thing!
I've always talked about wearing my bralette as just a shirt one day. To be honest, it could totally pass as a crop top. The other day, I was super hot in my school's café so I just took my pullover sweater off and walked around in my bralette for a while, but I felt weird. I think I would've felt less weird if I looked cuter, like if I were wearing something like this.
I love how the high waisted-leggings and bralette look together, and I absolutely love this grey sweater, as I've talked about before. I threw on these boots because I figured they'd make the entire look sexy and badass, and in my opinion, they did.
Maybe one day I'll actually wear this as an outfit!
Sorority Sunday: Sports Edition
CommentIt's Sorority Sunday! Today I'm highlighting another piece of srat swag I got for Christmas: this basketball jersey! I love sorority jerseys. I want a hockey jersey, a rugby jersey, a spirit jersey, and probably more that I'm forgetting. I purposely wanted this jersey in purple because that's one of my school colors. I love the way the letters look on this too! It's so comfy.
I wore my bralette under my jersey, which made it extra comfy, as well as my comfy leggings and my signature clunky boots. I wore this outfit to an Emerson basketball game that I wasn't cheering for, but I also wear this exact outfit to Cheer practice a lot, so this outfit is kind of a blend of my extracurriculars.
