Happy Father's Day!

Dress (similar). Shoes (no longer being sold at Payless). Stockings

I honestly have no clue where I got these sunglasses, and this sweater is no longer being sold at The Gap. Helpful, right?

Happy Father’s Day to any of the fathers who read my blog and/or anyone who wears Dad hats to be funny! I celebrated with my family by eating a lovely brunch at a hotel nearby. Since it wa relatively fancy, I wanted to look fancy too!

I chose this blue dress because I figured it was classy enough, but casual enough to wear to the beach after (since the restaurant/hotel is on the beach) and to the movies later in the night. I’ve totally mentioned this before, but I bought this dress for my sorority’s initiation and I love it so much more than I thought I would. It’s so comfortable! I usually wear it with a long necklace, but I went with my normal one for today. The only drawback is that the fabric is kind of thin, so I need to wear a tank top underneath so the outline of my bra doesn’t show.

Stockings are always necessary for me, but I also wore these sandals to go with my jewelry. People think I’m crazy for wearing sandals/flip flops with stockings, but I just pull up from my toes, roll the fabric a little, and tuck it between my big toe and second toe. All fixed! I also threw on my cheer spanx to avoid any mishaps.

Since it was a little breezy, I wore the sweater that I wore yesterday. I guess it kind of matched my shoes/jewelry! It made the look a little more casual, but didn’t completely take away the class. And it kept me warm! I kept my makeup normal as well as my jewelry. I straightened my hair for the first time in a WHILE! The good hair days are back; bye hats and headbands!

To finish it off, I wore my sparkly silver sunglasses that I break out every once in a while. They look kind of crazy and overwhelming, but they’re actually not! They’re a cute, quirky little accent that I like to add every now and then.

On a side, note, you all need to see Finding Dory ASAP. My family and I (huge Pixar/Disney fans) saw it today and it was so so so beautiful. You know when you see a movie that you know you really needed to see at that point? This was that movie for me. Seriously, it was even better than Finding Nemo in my opinion.

Just Keep Clunking!

Levels, Levels, Levels

Top (similar). Leggings. Sunglasses (similar). Sneakers. Headband. Sweater (no longer being sold at The Gap).

Today, I wore one of my favorite outfits that I haven’t worn in a while. I was doing something this morning so I needed to look nice, but I also knew that the rest of my day would be full of doing homework for my summer classes, so I needed to be comfy. I’m so happy I chose this!

I got this shirt a little while ago and it’s so adorable. It’s flirty and girly, and sooo comfortable. It makes my boobs look really good too! Then, I went with my thicker leggings since they were high-waisted, and they looked awesome with the flowy crop-ish top. The back of my top dips a little bit so you can see a teensy bit of my bra band, but I usually don’t mind. My sweater covered it, which I wore since it was a little breezy today. I love the look of a long sweater with a crop top. There are so many different levels here!

Though I was having another bad hair day, I went with my headband again because it’s usually what I wear with this outfit (it looks better with straight hair!). I wore white Converse to match my shirt (I

actually picked a color this time!) and went with natural makeup as well as my normal jewelry.

I always say that I feel most confident when I look cute and feel comfy. This outfit definitely does both of those things for me. I haven’t worn this top with anything but this outfit yet, so I’m excited to try it with high-waisted shorts or over a bathing suit. Stay tuned!

More Cruelty-Free Product Reviews!

Beauty, Beauty Review, Cruelty-Free, SponsoredKristenComment

The Clunkster is back with more cruelty-free products! Yay, helping animals! So far, the products I’ve been using have been awesome. It shows that going cruelty-free doesn’t make that big of a difference on your beauty routine. Sometimes, things get even better, like with my e.l.f. foundation. I’m still a bit of a scaredy cat when it comes to switching over to cruelty-free mascara (you all know how protective I am over my lashes), but as I run out of things I still need to move on to eyeliner (which I barely wear so it’s not super urgent), primer, and lipstick. Baby steps!

What I Was Using: Coppertone Sport High Performance Accu-Spray Sunscreen Broad Spectrum SPF 15

What I’m Using Now: Kiss My Face Bare Naked with Air Powered Spray Body Mist SPF 30

I didn’t have an issue with my old sunscreen, but I did find out that Coppertone tests on animals, and since I never seem to run out of sunscreen, I figured I’d buy a new can even though I had plenty left. I found Kiss My Face on this post by PETA, and then I saw a can at Stop & Shop, so I figured I’d try it out.

So far, I have not gotten sunburnt! The can says that it’s not scented, but it does have a little something. It’s not bad though! It’s kind of like a toned-down version of a sunscreen smell, which I love, so I’m happy. This sunscreen is also double the SPF of the Coppertone that I was using before, which is definitely a bonus. Also, Kiss My Face is like almost chemical free. The sunscreen contains antioxidants like Green Tea, Vitamins C and E, Aloe, and Cucumber so your skin gets super soft while you’re being protected from the sun. It’s also gluten free, paraben free, phthalate free, SLS free, and vegan. So like, why wouldn’t you use this sunscreen? It’s basically like Coppertone but cruelty-free with better ingredients.

What I Was Using: L’Oreal Infallible Makeup Extender Setting Spray

What I’m Using Now: Urban Decay All Nighter Long-Lasting Makeup Setting Spray

HOLY SHIT, LET ME TELL YOU ABOUT THIS SETTING SPRAY. Once upon a time, I saw a lot of girls on Twitter talking about how Urban Decay’s setting spray was like magic or something. I always used L’Oreal (never gave me too much of a problem, but I could’ve done better), but since I ran out of that setting spray and they test on

animals, I sauntered over to Sephora to pick me up one of these bad boys. Sure, I spent $30, but you know what? IT WAS FUCKING WORTH IT.

This magical bottle is insane. It sets your makeup for sixteen hours. Yes, you read that properly, sixteen, like a sweet sixteen, yeah. At first I put this on and I was like What? It’s light as hell. So I put on a lot more which wasn’t a great decision since my face got shiny. Then, I figured out that no, the people of Urban Decay are just angels and know how to make some freakin’ setting spray so it doesn’t feel like I sprayed my face with detangler. This shit is paraben free, sulfate free, and phthalate free. It has this special temperature control technology where it literally LOWERS THE TEMPERATURE OF YOUR MAKEUP so it doesn’t bleed! And you know what? You feel it working. I had a really busy day at work the other day and while I was running around, I felt my face cooling off a bit. I looked in the mirror afterwards and though I did have some black crap under my eyes, it was much less than usual (I have weird under-eyes so stuff always gets caught in that region, in addition to the fact that I use a ton of mascara and I work with machines that kinda dry my eyes out), and it didn’t really stain my face. I wiped under my eyes with my fingers and the crap went away, but it didn’t smear under my eyes.. When I got home, I started crying over something, and I don’t mean like cute *shedding a single tear* crying, I mean like ugly crying. I went to the bathroom to take my mirror off and I DIDN’T LOOK ANY DIFFERENT THAT I DID WHEN I LEFT WORK. This is literally a miracle product. I still felt my tears on me, I touched where they were, and you couldn’t even tell that I was just crying. Yesterday, I was running around Manhattan with my friends (sometimes it was hot and sometimes it was raining), and my makeup stayed on perfectly the. entire. day.

Moral of the story: Buy this fucking spray. It is SO worth the money.

As you can see, I can get a bit heated over my cruelty-free products, but that’s because I’m so amazed that these products can work so well without torturing animals! If you’re interested in going cruelty-free, check out PETA’s Searchable Database and Cruelty-Free Kitty’s alphabetized list of cruelty-free brands. Risky Clunky

Flannel (definitely from Eddie Bauer but I can't find it!). Right shoe. Left shoe. Tank Top (a basic white tank you can get anywhere). Jeans. Sunglasses (similar).

Today’s look is definitely clunky. I met some friends in Manhattan for the day and I knew I needed to be comfortable enough to walk/run. It was also kinda humid, but not hot, so I needed to wear something temperature-comfy too. So, I went with my typical look: high-waisted jeans, something tucked into them, and an oversized piece of outerwear. Clunkier than ever.

I have a love/hate relationship with this tank top. It’s awesome to wear under things, but it’s not see-through, so I can wear it alone or with something over it, like a jacket or flannel. It also makes my boobs look really good because since it’s a racer-back, I need to adjust my bra, but sometimes it gets too tight and things get hella uncomfortable. The tank top itself is tight too, so it’s not ideal to wear if I’m changing my clothes a lot.

These jeans are basically my go-to jeans since they’re high-waisted, skinny, and they fit me really well! I have an interesting body type, so it’s kind of a miracle when jeans actually fit me. I also love the color. They actually look denim-y, and for some reason I don’t really like lighter colored jeans.

Another one of my dad’s flannels is making an appearance today! I wore this a few days ago with my pastel look. I forgot it existed until then since he just gave it to me, and I haven’t really broken it in yet. I really love this one. It’s sleek, but casual too. It has pockets and it keeps me warm. Occasionally it’ll fall of my shoulders, but I don’t mind that at all!

Now, onto my favorite part of the look: my shoes! I really just couldn’t decide between black and white Converse because I figured they’d both look good in different ways, so I put them both on and looked in the mirror. Turns out, I actually loved the mismatched look. No one really noticed, which I didn’t mind. I just

When will I learn to clean my mirror and not be awkward?! My headband is from Garment District.

thought it was something interesting and quirky. It’s not like I’m wearing a flip-flop and a moccasin, and both colors were in the outfit! I would definitely try this out again, even if my mom thought I was crazy.

I kept makeup simple, but did a bit of light brown/nude eyeshadow today. I’ve been trying to experiment! Jewelry was also normal, with blue and purple Pura Vidas (those have been the go-tos lately since pool blue and lilac are my sorority’s colors and I miss my sisters more than life itself). I threw on a headband since my hair was being crazy again. I think the solution to my multitude of bad hair days is going to have to be a haircut.

I said I needed to take more risks, and I did! I’m really happy with the way things turned out. What else can I try…

You basically could've been following me the whole time, but I figured I'd extend a ~special invitation~.

And there's an app! Does this get any better or what?

And while you're at it, why don't you check out The Clunkster's other social media? We're on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram (the links are on top of my website too!). I've been playing around with the idea of getting a Snapchat, but I'm not exactly sure yet. That may end badly, let's be honest.

But seriously. Follow me on Bloglovin'. I'm gonna keep harassing you guys until you do so you might as well get it out of the way now.
