Black Overall Dress and Snakeskin Top.jpg

I feel like in every year of my life, at least for the past few years, I’ve had a certain outfit or look that encompasses my personal style. Like, if I were a cartoon character, that would be the outfit I’m in for most of the series. This season, it’s been my snakeskin top and overall dress.

I stumbled upon these lovely pieces at H&M when I wasn’t even looking for them. I love a good snakeskin print, but I didn’t feel the need to buy any snakeskin until I saw this top. The cut and feel were perfect for me. Perfect to go under the black overall dress that was staring me down from across the store.

I don’t necessarily try to be up on the trends like most kids nowadays, but the overall dress had been calling to me for a while. I bought a blue zip-up denim dress from Forever 21, but it wasn’t perfect. This one was.

While we gazed at each other lovingly, I pictured all the shirts I’d wear under it, how cute it would look with tights. And before I knew it, she was in my closet.

As I had predicted, the snakeskin top and overall dress combo was a vibe. The first time I wore it out, I described myself as “Goth Fran Drescher,” which is honestly such a mood and the energy I want for the rest of my life.

Of course, I wear the top and dress separately sometimes, but they’re better together. A true match made in H(&M)eaven

Hello, my quarantined angels! How’s everyone holding up? I’m going slightly stir-crazy, but honestly dealing with all of this much better than I thought I would be. Today I’ve been doing tons of cleaning, so my space feels a lot happier and healthier.

Here’s a look I basically lived in throughout the fall and winter. I really loved this sweater when I first tried it on at H&M, but I was a little hesitant to buy it because the color isn’t anything like what I usually wear. But my mom told me that it looked really nice on me (thanks, Mom!), so I decided to buy it, and I’m so happy I did. It turned out to be one of my favorites! It’s nice and soft, but not as warm as I expected it to be. Since it’s loosely knitted, the wind tends to blow through it. But you know what? I forgive her. We can’t do it all.

I almost always wear this sweater with my leggings, but switch up the shoes. Sometimes I wear boots, others my moccasins, but most of the time I wear my Converse. I’m always between black and white. Which do you like better?

Hey babes! I’m coming at you live from my living room, where I’ve been self-isolating for about a week. I’m honestly loving the downtime, but things in the world are definitely a little freaky right now. But I know we’ll all get through it, we always do!

This look is from a while back, when social distancing was the last thing on everyone’s mind. For Super Bowl Sunday, a bunch of my friends and I went to an awesome bar and drank way more than we should have considering the majority of us had work the next day. One of my friends is a hardcore Chiefs fan, so I was obviously going to be wearing red and black to support her. And apparently those good vibes paid off!

The only problem was that I barely own any red clothing. My amazing mom lent me this adorable red sweater, and I thought it would look so cute with my black denim dress. Boom, team colors!

I had a lot of fun with my makeup too. I had some time to do a wing, so I went nuts, and it actually looked cute! I very rarely wear eyeliner, let alone liquid eyeliner. Usually, when I try a wing, I look like Yzma from The Emperor’s New Groove, so I’m very happy with how this turned out. To top it all off, I decked my temples out in gold glitter, because glitter is literally always a good idea.

What did you wear for the Superbowl? Let me know in the comments!

Hello my loves! I have a relatively casual look for you all today. As I’ve mentioned countless times, this summer is hot in Boston. I’ve been loving soft shorts lately because they’re lightweight, and I love all the cute patterns I’ve been seeing. I definitely need to get some more. These blue shorts have been a ride or die for me! they’re a little short, but I love the color and pattern, and they’re so comfortable.

I went with a plain white tee for the day, and threw on my dirty white flip-flops to go to the store (they’re on sale right now for SUPER cheap, go go go!!!). I tend to stick with sneakers in the summer because I’m usually out and about, and because I’m super picky with my flip-flops. The part that sticks in between my toes needs to be comfortable! I tend to wiggle my toes a lot, and I hate being irritated. I can’t really wear sandals because my tiny feet always look lost in them! These Old Navy ones from my cousins check off all my boxes. They’re very loved, as you can see.To finish off my look, I wore Katy Perry’s INDI and my wood sunglasses.

What are some things you can’t live without during summer?! Comment and let me know!

crop top or bra?

Happy hump day! Back when it was super duper hot here in Boston, I barely wanted to wear any clothes to be honest. I didn’t have any AC in my room (thank God I do now!) so all I did was lay around in my Star Wars bra/crop top (I still never know how to categorize it) and denim shorts, watch lots of Vanderpump Rules, and sweat.

Regardless of how good these clothes make me feel temperature-wise, I think this is a cute look in general when I added the kimono. I love wearing crop tops, but I hesitate to with these newer shorts because they have a lower waistline, but I feel like showing my whole belly is Star Wars-like, like I did when I went to a May the 4th party.

And to be honest, this kimono can make anything look amazing. I fell in love with it the moment I saw it and we’ve been together ever since. And while formatting this post I found out that it's no longer being sold by H&M, and I would be lying if I said I didn't shed a tear. But I linked an equally cute one that I actually really love. I'm definitely gonna take a stroll through their kimonos. I got this one in a size large because I wanted it to fit nice and loose, so definitely keep sizing in mind if you decide to get one for yourself (which you definitely should).

My top knot is also thriving, as this was one of the only hairstyles I could bear! I love my long, thick hair, but in the heat it can be just too much. I miss wearing my hair down, but playing around with new styles is always fun. I’ve been meaning to measure the height of my bun, I’ll get back to you guys.

Do you think this is a crop top or a bra? Let me know in the comments!
