The Clunkster

Clunk Clunk Clunk

Shirt. Sweater (no longer being sold at the Gap). Leggings. Sunglasses (similar). Boots (no longer being sold at Primark).

Hello all, I’ve got another super-Clunkster look for you all today. First, we have this blue crop top that I love, but have only worn twice. I always forget I have it, and it’s almost Fall (well, it is Fall, I’m just denying it), so I need to wear it as often as I can! I wore it with my typical crop top pants: my high-waisted leggings that make my ass look fantabulous.

Next, I added my typical Clunkster sweater, and my typical Clunkster boots. This look is so typical Clunkster, which I do say a lot, but it is! My hair is even up in my newly-signature half-up-half-down. My makeup is relatively normal (even though I’ve been using new products! But more on that another time), as well as my jewelry (the choker is just a staple now).

But honestly, this look is so Clunkster because I’m happy and comfortable. When you feel cute, you ARE cute. When you FEEL like you can take over the world, you CAN! That got super preachy super fast, but it’s true!

Good Vibes Only

Back in my old room, nice and clean :')

Boots (no longer being sold at Primark). Leggings. Shirt. Sunglasses (similar).

NEW SHIRT ALERT! I love this shirt! I got this the other day while I was back home. I love the color, and I love the elephant, not only because it’s my sorority’s animal, but also because elephants are my favorite animal in general. There are a bunch of hearts coming out of its trunk, which is super cute, and it says “Good Vibes Only,” which is one of my favorite little sayings. At first, I wore my normal bra, but I really like the way the bralette looks with it, and it’s ten times more comfortable, especially since the shirt is really soft.

I wore my leggings and boots with this shirt, as I have been doing lately. I also wore my choker, and the rest of my normal jewelry. My makeup was relatively light today, and my hair was just a bit frizzy and wild, but I think it makes the look. Once I left my house, I but on my grey Clunkster sweater, which looked good.

Overall, I really loved this outfit. It was cute, comfy, and clunky.

Cruelty-Free Eyelashes

Alright y’all, it happened: I finally switched mascaras. For those of you who have been following along, you know that it’s taken me a while to transition into using cruelty-free mascara since I was so obsessed with my other mascara. However, I bit the bullet and bought a new tube from e.l.f., because how can you go wrong with e.l.f.?

What I Was Using: L’Oreal Voluminous Miss Manga Mascara, Maybelline Great Lash Washable Mascara

What I’m Using Now: e.l.f. 3-in-1 Mascara

Okay, so I have naturally long eyelashes, but I love when they’re extra super long because they make my eyes pop. I think long eyelashes are super sexy, and they’re even sexier when they’re nice and dark. When I found Miss Manga, I thought I had hit the jackpot. My eyelashes were already super long, but now they were even longer. I usually topped off the tips with Great Lash to make them super duper long.

But when I tried e.l.f.’s mascara, I realized that Miss Manga wasn’t that special, honestly. L’Oreal’s thing is that Miss Manga has a brush that can move in all directions. Well, e.l.f.’s mascara does that too, and it has a really cool fat tip so it’s really easy to get precise parts of your lashes that need some special attention. I very rarely use Great Lash to touch up anymore. It’s cruelty-free, and it’s super cheap.

I’m not exactly sure why it took me so long to cross over, but I’m happy I did. I think I should have this attitude with most of my beauty products. Sure, I do like what I’m using, but there’s always something better, and if it’s cruelty-free, it’s worth it if I don’t like it as much. All I need to do is branch out.

Kiss My Face!

Hello hello! I’ve got another awesome cruelty-free beauty review for you all today that I’m very excited about. You were all here when I bought Lavanila for the first time. How adorable is that? I have nothing against my Lavanila deodorant, but after a while, I realized that I wanted something better. I’ve reviewed Kiss My Face products before, specifically their amazing sunscreen. So, when they reached out and asked me to review their new deodorant (they even sent a bunch to me for free! In this cute little package!), I was beyond thrilled.

What I Was Using: Lavanila, the Healthy Deodorant (in Pure Vanilla)

What I’m Using Now: Kiss My Face Quick Dry Spray Deodorant in Sport and Cucumber Green Tea

Just in case you guys need a refresher, Kiss My Face is freakin’ awesome. They’re cruelty free, paraben free, aluminum chlorohydrate free, petroleum glycol free, artificial fragrance free, and contain no chemical propellants. Basically, you couldn’t be using a better product for your body.

I’ve never used spray-on deodorants before, so this was definitely an adventure for me. I really liked them! At first, I was afraid that my underarms would be super wet for a while, but it dried almost instantly. The only time I ran into a problem was when I sprayed it under my shirt and didn’t aim well, so it looked like I had a pit stain, but it completely went away in five minutes.

Aside from the actual can, the scents were amazing. I started off using the sporty scent, which was a little more “masculine” if we wanna gender scents, but when I ran out of that, I tried out the cucumber scent, which was equally amazing and worked just as well. My friends even tell me how amazing I smell :)

Kiss My Face says that this deodorant works for twenty-four hours straight. Though I didn’t test this exact part out, I can say that I don’t smell bad when I’m being active and/or sweaty. I usually reapply my deodorant throughout the day. Either way though, I didn’t have any moments where I did a pit sniff and thought I needed some extra coverage. I absolutely love this deodorant.

Wear the World Wednesday!

Hey there, it’s your friendly neighborhood Clunkster again with another brand rep announcement! This is so exciting! The other day I found out that this semester, I’m a brand rep for Serengetee!

For those of you who don’t know Serengetee, it’s one of the most awesome brands. Basically, you can pick from a bunch of fabrics on their website and customize items like shirts, hats, fanny packs, backpacks, really anything you can think of. Each pattern corresponds to the region it’s from. Proceeds from your Serengetee purchase will go to that charity. For example, this shirt’s shark pattern, Rio, helps give microloans to women entrepreneurs in Brazil. How cool is that? And you look adorable too.

I’m so excited to be working with this amazing company over the next semester. You’ll definitely be seeing a lot of wearing the world on the Clunkster!

P.S. I’ll get you guys a discount code soon enough!
