The Clunkster

Lazy-ish

Today, I met one of my friends for lunch! Since we went to Friendly’s, I wanted to look casual but a bit retro. First, I threw a headband on to tame my freshly christened pool hair.

You can honestly never go wrong with jeans and a T shirt. Unless you’re going to a funeral or wedding or something. But for the most part, if you don't know what to wear, jeans and a T are your best bet. And the jeans don't even have to be blue like these! I've done a Clunkster look with green jeans before.

This is basically the same, except with different high-waisted jeans. I chose my white Converse today because they make a slight difference. They line of take it up a notch and clean the look up. For this particular outfit, black Converse seemed very casual to me while white seemed a bit more polished. They matched the shirt, and I needed to use a small amount of colors since my headband is so wild.

I kept my jewelry normal, except for this Pokémon friendship necklace that my bestie and I have. I did play with my makeup a bit! I did some eye shadow, and I put concealer under my eyebrows.

NARS showcased it on their Snapchat story today, and I was so into it, but to be honest it did look a little weird as the night progressed. Maybe I'll post about it in detail another time.

Overall, I was super comfy today and felt really cute. Maybe if I wore this again I would wear a more fitted T and straighten my hair, but that's just getting nit picky. I'm supposed to be lazy.

Sorority Sunday!

It’s Sorority Sunday!!! That means I not only get to brag about my amazing sorority, but I also get to brag about the amazing sorority merch I have. This past week, Something Greek was having a sale, so I went nuts.

My other sorority shirts that have patterns in the letters basically just repeat the pattern. Instead, I bought this panoramic pattern since it was on sale. So, one picture stretches across the letters instead of it being like a grid sort of thing. I originally wasn’t gonna get this tank, but my mom convinced me to. Thanks Mom!

I am actually in love with this. At first I was upset when I opened the package and saw that the letters were scanned on instead of sewn on, but I actually like it so much better. This is like the sorority tank of my dreams. The sleeve openings are low enough so it looks adorable with a bandeau or a bralette, it’s long enough that I can wear it without pants, but it also looks adorable and baggy when I tuck it into high waisted shorts that perfectly match the pattern like these. I would definitely buy this tank in a different pattern. The waves go perfectly for beachy, summery vibes though!

My white Converse made an appearance today to match the tank, and I wore my rounded sunglasses because when do I ever wear other sunglasses? I kept my jewelry normal (two necklaces, and my Pura Vidas were Xi Gamma Nu colors because it is Sorority Sunday), my hair super straight, and I didn’t wear makeup because it’s Sunday and I’m lazy.

I always talk about how it’s most important to feel your best. When you’re comfortable with what you’re wearing, you have a great attitude and a great day. While walking around today, I really felt beautiful and confident. It just goes to show that you don’t always need to get dolled up to feel/look your best, even though I do love getting dolled up.

How Colorful

Kimono. Top (similar). Jeans. Sandals (no longer being sold at Payless). Sunglasses (similar).

Omg I actually got dressed!!! Yay!!! Basically, this is an update on a look that I’ve posted in the past. Usually, when I wear this crop top with this kimono, I wear dark bottoms. I did branch out a bit and wear my light blue shorts one time, but today, I went white!

I needed to look nice to go out to dinner with my mom and her friends, and I automatically pulled out my new white jeans because I think they’re classy. I was really excited to work with all the new jeans I bought, but it’s been hot. Then, I built the rest of my outfit around my jeans. I really like the contrast in this look. The kimono is black and white, so there’s black in my top, and white in my bottoms.

My silver shoes made another appearance as well. I didn’t want to wear heels since I was driving, but these sandals have a baby heel, so I was happy. These sandals honestly look good with anything. They automatically take looks up a notch, and they match the color of my nails and toes. And I think that is all I have to say for now. Stay clunky!

As far as jewelry goes, I kept things normal with my sorority-colored Pura Vidas and two necklaces. I told you guys they would be making more appearances! I’ve been loving it. I kept my makeup normal too, and it randomly looked really good for some reason. I was very happy.

Thankfully, my hair is still straight too! It’s a little gross in the photo, but I threw some dry shampoo in and slightly curled the ends after I took it. I really love straight hair.

Your Scorpio is Showing

Shirt (from Pacsun by Brandy Melville, but I can't find the exact style online). Leggings (similar). Sneakers. Sunglasses (similar).

To start off, I kinda just wanna apologize a little bit, but not a whole lot. I haven’t been posting a ton lately, mostly because I’ve been working crazy hours, and as I’ve mentioned in the past, I wear a uniform, and that’s not exactly a look I wanna post. After work, I usually don’t get dressed and go out because I’m tired as hell. And on days off, I just stay in my pajamas. So, I’m sorry about the lack of posts, but I’m gonna live my damn life!

So, today I wore something relatively comfy but equal parts nice. I was seeing a show put on by a bunch of little kids, so I needed to be comfy enough to squat and run but cute enough to go to a show. I think this look did a great job with that! I wore my trusty leggings and this cute and comfy shirt I bought a little while ago. I paired the look with my black Converse and called it a night.

I think my rounded sunglasses looked super cute with this look! I’ve really been loving the dark colors lately. It’s my Scorpio showing. My hair looks nice because I straightened the shit out of it last night, and my makeup looks good because I took my time. I need to buy more concealer and learn to apply less foundation, but whatever! I made my eyelashes extra long.

And, I pulled a double-necklace. Silver looked great with the tones of my look, so I amped it up! A double necklace it was. It looked great. I should totally do this more. Maybe, if I actually post, double necklaces will keep making appearances!

Sorority Sunday

Shirt. Leggings (similar). Sneakers. Sunglasses (mine are lighter).

Happy Sorority Sunday! This week’s letters are brought to you by my hyperactive cousins. I had a family barbecue, and I needed to wear something that I could run around in. However, it was super swampy and yucky outside. I needed to wear something that could also cover me up so I wouldn’t get tons of bug bites.

So, I went with my leggings, the solution to every problem, and my adorable srat shirt. I love this black and gold look, especially since the gold is super sparkly and cute! I paired this look with black Converse since they match and they’re easy to run around in.

I kept my jewelry simple (Pura Vidas were Xi Gamma Nu colors, of course) as well as my makeup. Even after all the sweat, water, and running around, it stayed on beautifully (thanks Urban Decay Setting Spray, I will praise you forever).

My hair was originally straight, but as I got more sweaty and the air got more humid, I put it up and it got yucky. I really hate humid weather.

Something Greek is having a sale, so I just ordered a bunch of new shirts that you’ll be seeing here soon since they’re so adorable! What are your letters?
