Way back when I was in a relationship, I stole my boyfriend’s flannel and wore it literally every night until we broke up. I also wore it during the day, and I began incorporating it into a lot of my outfits. So, when I gave him his flannel back, there was a hole in my heart, not for him, of course, but for his flannel!

So, my dad gave me a couple of his that he didn’t wear anymore, since he’s a construction worker and he has a billion. One was bright blue and really cute, and another was just plain black which is really cool every now and then, but this one’s my favorite because it’s relatively neutral, so I can wear it with a lot.

“Male” flannels are so much better than “female” flannels because they’re legitimately more comfortable! They’re made to fit an actual body, not a mannequin. My dad’s specifically are fabulous because he’s a bigger guy, so I’m basically swimming in fabric. It’s amazing. And the pockets are so generous!

You guys know I love it when my outerwear is longer than what I’m wearing. I love wearing this flannel with dresses because it’s a perfect dress length! It also takes fancy dresses down a notch, which is lovely.

I figured I wore this flannel occasionally, but since we just went through midterms week at school, I was being super lazy and just wanted to be comfy, so I ended up wearing this flannel a lot. I figured it out because when I was at an event where the new members of my sorority had to describe sisters without using their names, they kept giving “flannels” as a clue. I’ll take it!

Moral of the story: don’t let a boy cramp your style. Clunk that.

Clunky and Cute

Sweater (similar). Skirt (different color). Sneakers. Sunglasses (similar).

Okay, so this is one of my favorite outfits. Obviously, I have a deep love for this denim skirt that runs through my veins and makes me a better person. This sweater is one of my favorite things ever. How cute is this sweater? I’ve never owned a cropped sweater before, but I’m 500% in love with this one, and I want to buy so many more. In fact, I’m wearing this sweater backwards!

The back is super cute and laced really low, and I love a beautifully ornate back, so I figured, why not? Then, my friend tried it on and put it on with the laces in the front, which was really the “right” way, which I didn’t realize, even though the tag was on what I thought was the front.

In my opinion, you should be able to wear your clothes however you want, and I like wearing this backwards! You can’t even tell the difference! I also like to wear a sweater dress backwards, which I’ll talk about eventually.

I wore my white Converse since my black Converse just look weird with this skirt, and I straightened the hell out of my hair. I love this look as a party look, but also just for hanging out! My makeup looked pretty good too. In general, I was just so happy with how this look turned out. I wear it every chance I get. It's very flirty and innocent. It's perfect.

Shirt. Leggings. Boots (no longer being sold at Primark). Bralette.

I feel like this look is 100% me. At the end of my Serengetee internship, I got this adorable crop sweater that I had wanted for so long! It's insanely comfortable, and I love how you can wear it off the shoulder or not (even though I almost always wear it off the shoulder). It goes perfectly with this bralette and leggings, as well as my typical Clunkster boots. When I get cold, it looks fab with my favorite grey sweater or a different flannel, or really anything. I always wear this crop sweater with a choker, too.

Overall, I think this look totally represents my style. It's also super comfy! Even though I'm not a Serengetee rep anymore, I'll always promote their clothes because they're so awesome.

Happy Mother's Day!

Shirt. Jeans. Sandals (no longer being sold at Payless). Sunglasses

Happy Mother's Day! This morning I went out to a less-than enjoyable brunch, but at least I looked cute! I bought this top a WHILE ago, but I don't think I've ever worn it. I was excited to wear it with my white jeans and feel super cute and classy like all the other ~normal~ fashion bloggers out there. I also debuted my heart-shaped sunglasses that I bought the other day! I had wanted a pair for so long, but I could never find a pair I actually liked. I topped off the look with my trusty gladiator sandals and two gold necklaces. I hope everyone enjoyed their day!!!

Shirt (no longer being sold at Pacsun). Leggings. Bralette. Sneakers

I'm back! Finals have FINALLY ended, and I'm mostly sane again, meaning that I'll hopefully be posting more. Which I say very single time. So we'll see.

Today, I went to the mall, my happy place! I'm still unpacking allllll my stuff since I moved back home for the summer, and I'm finding a lot of cute pieces I forgot I owned, like this adorable acid-wash shirt! It's perfect for just hanging out since it's super light and the fabric is so soft. I wore it with my bralette and leggings, as well as my black Converse. My choker also made an appearance, but when does it not?

I love this super casual look, and I'm so happy to be back posting again :)
